Russia-UAE Multisectoral Business Mission
The multi-industry business mission organized by the Russian Export Center (REC) successfully concluded in Dubai on April 25. This event encompassed two days of intensive business meetings, thematic roundtable discussions, and pitching sessions, with the aim of introducing innovative Russian products to the UAE market.
Under the collective brand Made in Russia, 29 Russian companies showcased their products and services. Among them were software solutions for financial companies, a biometric facial recognition platform, a platform for organizing esports competitions, and IT solutions in industrial production and education. The first day of the event saw over 60 business meetings.
“Today, the role of the United Arab Emirates as a regional hub for cooperation with the Middle East and North Africa region is clearly visible. Russian industrial companies have been actively using the Emirates market for trade with neighboring countries for several years now. In this context, both the Russian IT sector and companies in the fields of creative industries, education, and tourism are actively working, including utilizing mechanisms of government support, to establish strong and mutually beneficial cooperation with Middle Eastern partners. The REC group, in turn, provides maximum support to interested Russian companies through the range of services available in our arsenal,” shared REC representative in the UAE, Najibullo Jabbori, during the business mission.
The mission commenced with a thematic session titled “Russia-UAE: New Opportunities and Prospects for Cooperation in IT Technologies, Education, Tourism, and Creative Industries,” during which participants explored the specifics of entering the UAE market. Numerous meetings were held, where interested entrepreneurs provided support to Russian counterparts and received real-time answers to their questions.
The session was attended by the Trade Representative of Russia in the UAE, Andrey Terekhin, the Director of the Department of Trade Development at the UAE Ministry of Economy, Rashid Al Teneiji, as well as experts from the UAE business community.
As part of the business mission, Russian companies also visited leading innovation hubs such as Dubai Internet City (DIC), Dubai Silicon Oasis (DSO), the UAE Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology, the UAE Ministry of Education, and the UAE Ministry of Culture and Youth.
Russian entrepreneurs noted that the UAE is indeed one of the most business-friendly countries, and the heads of UAE free zones provide comprehensive support.
“The impossible becomes possible” – under this motto, the UAE operates, creating conditions for international entrepreneurs and providing comprehensive support.
